paid off judgement

I paid off a judgement from Sears being handled by a lawyer. They sent me a letter and I was told I need to send it to all of the Credit places(Experian, Trans Union, Eqifax...) How do I do this? It seems wierd I have to send it, not them. I have not a clue where to start...
