I have not been able to contact anyone at the courthouse for info as everyone is suggesting but i have discovered that there is a good chance that this is a old loan from the oregon state scolarship commission.
I am going to attempt to verify this with the CA today as I have read in much research that I can do this. Also in all this research I ran across a website from the scolarship commission and in there it states that there is no longer an sol on student loans....can anyone set me straight on this? In answer to my financial status...currently I am on unemployment and no I cannot hire a lawyer, I am going to attempt to talk with legal aid today althou the last time I tried, when I was living in a different county they would not help me because of "conflict of interest" with my exwife in divorce proceedings. I do have a ton of questions if anyone can help? Am I entitled to a court app attoney for this or am I on my own if legal aid fails? When I go to this hearing on monday the 16th and cannot pay this and refuse to sign anything for a repayment what do I say or do at that point? thanks ppl for all the help
