I don't believe that hiding is the best policy - because think rationally on this. your phone rings - you have caller id - you are afraid to answer because its a blocked hnumber - who knows if it is a relitive in trouble at a pay phone - but your conditioned to fear it, or anyone who does get through to you, you hang up and curse. Perhaps PAYMENT isnt the best option - which I have told many of my clients. Sometimes BK is the best route - but No contact only causes further pursuit. As for florida being a no Garnishment state - I would check your law book there - We sue daily in Florida. Tesas I do know it is against thier constitutional right - as well as other states - PA for example - only there it is possible to get a judement - where as the sheriff will come out and assess your private goods and hold an auction on the amount of assessed value your items gain. It has been my experience that hiding only causes more grief - that is why I said so. I am not close minded like most on this site and truly believe I can help many people clear up thier debt the proper way - all it takes is inititive. I know those dishearted people here have been badgered and beaten by unprofessional collectors who are in it for nothing but the money - I for one attempt to take a matter of pride in helping those who have never been helped. Believe what you will, either way I won't lose any sleep over it. Thanks for the reply.
