Your wrong Linda -

Statute is refreshed with payment - and is often times not expired when the misinformed debtor believes it is.

"In one state it is illegal to attempt to collect on an out of statute debt. " That state would be Wisconsin.

No one sues "out of statute" that would be illegal. It is people like you who spread fear and anger - Not I . It benifits me in no way to spread fear. I am spreading truth. As for your blanket perception of debt - Extreemly old debt - debt say from 96 - is still in stat today in nearly every state in the US. In ohio there is a 15 year statute. In protected states it is indeed difficult to collect on - but not illegal. The expiration of the Statute only means the legal ability to SUE has expired. The Credit reporting Statute expiring means that debt may no longer be reported - There is NO law that states a Past stat account may not be collected upon - with the exception of Wisconsin - Just because you have successfully hidden for 7 years - does that truly mean you should run the chance of that company not having your documentation? I pull documents every day on accounts almost 10 years old. I promise you those original documents do not just vanish. I wont lie and say it doesn't happen, and that is the shame that allows this sort of site to exist, but there are just as many cases - if not more where the individual had taken the company to court- attempting the very defense practiced on this site - and lost horribly - only to gain a default judgement on thier own account.

Beliefe what you want, but in the end you are wrong, your thoughts do not extend to every arena of finance.
