Merchant statute of limitations to bill customers

I purchased some airline tickets on Delta last April, and was never billed by Delta. Delta just called my travel agent to find out who they didn't bill and they want to bill them about 8 months later. Is there any statute of limitations as to how late a merchant can bill my card? Thanks!
