SOL in NY is SIX years. Better check your credit reports if you don't have records, one of them will give you a 'date of last activitiy'. Use that to figure the expiration of the SOL. Unless its early 97, you're still within the SOL period. Could be its getting close to expiration and that's why they've appeared. If it IS close, you can start stalling them with validation.
