No court date ? Have you called the court to find out any details ? What WAS in the papers you were served ?

You MUST got to court, if you don't they win a judgment by default.. so go and make your case.

First, TX is a no-garnishment state, so they can't go for your wages. About the only thing they can go for is garnishing a bank account or siezing assets. If you have no assets, there's nothing they can grab for. If you have money in the bank I'd be careful not to keep much in it, or they'll try to take it all.

TX is pretty 'friendly' for people with debts and judgments are tough to enforce there. There are plenty of exemptions from judgment that you can use to keep them from getting much, if anything.
