Not so. It can only be placed on your credit report for 7 years. REselling does nothing. If it hits your credit report they have violated federal law and you can sue them. They deal in SOL debts and while stupid they are not that stupid. You can stop them with a cease and desist letter. They can file against you although it might be illegal and certainly is illegal in california but you have an absolute defense if you show up. They also like to file against you at addresses you do not live at. If they do you can file a motion to vacate and then sue them. They can call but if you cease and desist them they must stop or you sue them. You see what I am getting at here. You have the power. they are scum sucking buckets of dung. wield you power and they will fall(ok ok I just saw the lord of the rings) but you get the idea.
