Ok, going to make this short and everything but sweet! I have a BIG problem. It has been 3 months since I paid any of my c.c. bills (not to mention car and others). I have 1 yr. old triplets and have not worked in almost 2 years now. My husband's is eaten up every week. I took care of my eldery father until he passed in AUG without life insurance. Ever since, my life has been a wreck! Physically, emotionally and financially. My home is paid for and I have been waiting for a loan on it for almost 3 months now...pre-approved and still in processing. My creditors agreed to a 50% settlement payoff when I get my loan, but now they tell me that they can no longer accept a settlement because it is too past and it will be charged off. The problem is...will I lose my home? Is it too late to put the house in my friends name to protect it! (I am married but it is not joint property, I guess it would not make a difference if it was) Would I be a good candidate for lawsuit if it goes to collections? I know my life, and the way things go. After everything is charged off, I will get a call to come sign the papers for my loan money. Oh gosh, someone please help me through this! I live in Missouri. (Total debt: $13,000.00) Alot of which were medications for my father and lots of medical co-pays etc. Insurance didn't cover during my pregnancy. Any info would be wonderful! Any links to sites with info would be helpful! e-Mail is great if you have the time! Thanks so much!
