Hello All! Currently, I am about $20,000 and debt and have become very behind on all my bills. Some are close to collection now, so the damage has been done. I am considering bankruptcy right now,but have a few concerns. My fiancee and I want to buy a home some time next year and I am really concerned about how the bankrupcty will effect getting a home. How long do you have to wait after filing bankruptcy to apply for a home loan? How badly will it effect the interest rate? One more thing, my fiancee already owns two homes(he has renters in those homes...homes are located in California....we live in Washington). Could he get approved for a home loan on his own? I'm afraid that my financial situation is going to bring us down and cause us high interest rates. HELP....need some advice!
