If I send a collection agency a letter requesting validation on a debt, do they have to provide me with a copy of the original document if I ask? Also, what if I want receipts/statements to back up said charges. Must they provide? If not, can I forward that letter to the CRA's to get items deleted? Is there some sort of FTC legal precedent regarding this? They cant just say yes debt is yours. The creditor gave us your name social, amount, etc.. Now you must pay. Can they?

thank you
