I wish I could give a simple answer, but, it depends.

If you left a forwarding address, and did nothing to evade any creditor's legal actions, there is probably no "tolling".

Some States have specific statutes that deal with this subject, however they are generally intended for large (dollar wise) accounts.

In addition, many States have a kind of "reverse" tolling, that is if your debt defaulted in State B,with a 3 year SOL, and you moved back to State A, with a 6 year SOL, even if you signed up for the account in State A, the SOL of State B will be the one that is enforceable.

In general, WHERE you defaulted will be the prevailing SOL.
