Thank you! Another reader above just quoted the same section, indicating that since I'm not disputing the original debt that this doesn't apply to me, BUT I am disputing the payments? Has the word dispute here been held up to indicate payment dispute on an agreed debt, or the debt altogether?

I tend to want to believe your opinion as it definately is more to my favor :) Also I've just learned from this website that the reporting period goes from the date of original deliquency, and not each time an account is sold to another agency? As the other reader also indicates?

Regardless, thank you for your input? I've already discussed with the CA in detail my dispute with them, and have already filed a complaint with the FTC, and State AG office. I haven't tried the BBB yet, but should I expect from my actions?

All in all, I really do want to pay 90% of this debt; however, they are seriously screwing with me on the other 10%. I don't understand their tactics, especially since I contacted them to pay on these two accounts.

I follow your opinion on, 'dispute' then the laws will work in my favor, if I follow the other opinion on 'dispute' and reaging accounts I should really consider bankruptcy.

Thank you for your input.
