How to remove original creditor info?

How do I remove two original credit accounts? The original creditors, Chase and First North American National Bank (from a Circuit City account), remain on my credit record after the collection agency (Coldata) was unable to verify the accounts. Coldata’s two entries have been removed (after writing to Equifax when Coldata wouldn’t respond), but the entries from the original creditors remains.

Do I need to dispute those accounts separately or is there a way to use the fact that the collection agencies couldn’t verify the info? Do the same tactics (dispute, request confirmation paperwork, etc.) work with the original creditors?

What’s the best way/is there a way to have this info removed? Recommendations?

Thank you in advance for your assistance, please let me know if your need any other information.
