First question.

After reading all of the wonderful help and support given by many people on this board I decided to take the "find out my battered credit plunge" and ordered my reports. To my chagrin they were not as daunting as I imagined. I do have one big problem that I hope you can all solve. It looks like in 2-1998 Sallie Mae Charged-Off my Student loan. (It was opened in 3-1994 and closed by their records on 1-97 charged off in 2-98) The description says it was account transferred or sold. Taking this into account here is my query. The California State Student Aid Commission took over this account from Sallie Mae in, you guessed it 2-98, and is now showing on my report account status of 120+ Days Past Due. Furthermore when Sallie Mae charged it off on 2-98 the balance was around $60k the Student Aid amount is 121K currently!! Now I do realize that Student Loans are a whole different animal then other type of credit woes but my question as naive as it may seem is should their be on my report a "charge off" and a "120 + days Past Due" on an account that originated on 3-1994. What should be my plan of attack on my report besides trying to rehabilitate my loan? Here is the shocker to me, with this on my account my Transunion score was 661.

Second question.

My girlfriend has me as an "Authorized User" on one of her credit card accounts for at least 4 years. She has stellar A1 credit with super high limits etc . My question is how do I get this to show on my credit report. Although we live together, my "credit address" has never been at her house. Is this why it does not show up on any of my credit reports? If so, from time to time I get at her address credit card offers, should I apply and see what happens? I do not have a credit card solely in my name unsecured or secured.( I just never applied assuming I would be rejected due to past transgressions) However, I do have 2 business checking accounts for the past 5 years. BTW I always sweat bullets when I applied for even those 2 checking accounts.

Thanks for taking your valuable time and expertise on my situation.
