You bet it is !! I'd say the first thing to try is to call them and find out if you can get on a hardship program. It usually reduces interest rates, sometimes waives fees, and they usually re-age to bring the account current. You then MUST make the payments they require ON TIME consistently, otherwise they revoke the program and you're back in the swamp again. If they tell you you're not eligible for a hardship program and won't work with you, wait another month and ask again. The later you are, the more they are willing to work with you.. they want MONEY, and some is better than none.
