The Ca laws on "tolling" are pretty liberal, however if someone has been called to overseas military duty, they cannot have a suit filed against them,and that tolls the time. There will be a lot of THAT now.

As to the "law" about filing age-barred claims, it is like the other laws (FDCPA &FCRA) the Ca. FDCPA can be used in a lawsuit against a ca that violates it, but will not prevent them from trying.
