Hi there! Love the info and I think everything is going to be straightened out in my finalcial situation. Hubby just got approved for a loan, (I will not be getting the one I was waiting for due to my credit now being ruined) and won't be long before I will be ready to settle with my creditors. (1-2 weeks)If the credit cards reach their charge off date and get charged off, can I still settle with the creditors and avoid the CAs? In writting, I am demanding 40% settlement on each of them in exchange for updating credit reports to "paid in full" or the account info be removed from my credit reports all together and that they will not be able to collect on the remainer of the debt themselves, not sell it to a collection agency or other collection service. The account will be paid in full. PERIOD! WHat if I can't get the funds to them in time, by the charge off date? I am no longer answering the phone. (It rings every 4-6 minutes now, 8am-8pm) I only plan to contact them once by phone to make an offer and then only by mail there-after, in which case I sign nothing, and admit nothing. I demand my life back! :) Please help.

Also, my car is still hiding from the repo man, it went 90 days late again the 14th. Should I get a statement from the back stating the pay-off before I pay it off, so after I make the payment in full, I have proof I own the car before the title comes? If the repo man comes by the house again spying and sees the car and takes it, I don't want to have to pay anything more to get it back. I will be broke again!

I have not found the answer to these questions as of yet on any boards and I have been reading all of them!

Also if I can, one more...I just got in the mail the other day a bill from the hospital, in my father's name only, who passed back on Aug. The bill is for $1400 or so dollars. This is what Medicare and his supp. insurance didn't pay. (His total bill was over $300,000.00 for one month in the hospital) It is in fact a bill, because the letters that came before this one stated THIS IS NOT A BILL. This one came with payment info, payment plan info and envelope. Am I responsible for paying this bill? I was and still am his only everything. It is the least of the worries right now and it would be one that I would rather pay over any of mine, just because he was my daddy! I just need to find out, so I know where we will stand financially when this CC crap is all over! If not, I need to contact them right away before I get more people calling for money! ARG! Thanks!

Awaiting your expert opinions and info!

Marie

Believe it or not, I am kind of excited about getting this loan and paying it off! I don't feel so bad about not being able to pay my debt off anymore (I am slowly coming out of this depression) and it has given me a way to feel good about myself because I have come up with a few ways to make some quick money and I feel like I am contributing to the household now. (Even if I am only making enough to pay for groceries for a week or the electic bill) I feel like less of a burden on my husband and more like a human! You have giving me back what I thought I lost! Myself! Thanks so much!
