I live in Vermont, where during the last three years while moving, I lost track of a debt to First Card. They didn't have my updated address and sold to collection agency. (asta) Finally I just recieved a formal complaint from local lawyer representing Asta-- delivered by local sheriff. The complaint is giving me twenty days to respond. Should, and can I still ask for validation-- being that I was never successfully contacted by the company Asta-- they didn't have my mailing address-- they just located me and served me this complaint throught their lawyer. HELP PLEASE-- shopuld I ask for validation??
