I am in West Virginia. The SOL is five years. According to Experian the last activity on the accounts was in early 1999, meaning they are suable until next spring.

Is making a payment on a CC the same as bringing it up to date? My experian report lists charge offs on the accounts going back to 1996 and 1997. After that, I had made some occasional payments, like $100 here or there, but nothing sustained or substantial. Does that by itself reage the debt?

In actuality, the CCs are from the early 90s. I stopped using them in about 94-95, and for the most part the debts are all interest and late fees. You buy $2000 of junk and end up with $8000 in debt and a bum credit report where you can't get an apratment. Go figure.

Thanks again for any help!
