One thing's for sure paying RMA will only ensure that this thing stays on your credit report for ANOTHER 7 years !!!

They can't sue you for it any more, it is past the SOL. If they re-age the debt it is a violation of the FCRA and you can sue them for it.

DO NOT PAY THEM.

First, send RMA a cease and desist. WhyChat's site has a great letter for past-sol debts, use it and send it Certified, RRR.

Second, dispute the entry on your credit reports with the Credit Reporting Agencies (CRA's). If they can't verify, they MUST remove it. The older it gets, the less likely it can be verified, the better your chances of getting the entry removed from all 3 credit reports.
