I am paying a charge off (Visa) in the amount of $150.00 a month. It has been received in collections and the collection company is always asking if I could increase the amount. I am paying what I can afford. What is the law and procedures on paying off a charge off? I told the representative that I am paying because, of my moral stance on this issue. However, I do not want to be harassed. I gave the representative an choice either they accept this amount or no amount at all. What are my rights pertaining to this issue? Am I paying too much? Can they inform the credit bureau that I am making an attempt to pay the amount owe?

Thank You
