A few months ago I defaulted on a credit card by being late 3 months in a row. This was due to a loss of job. My interest rate went from a 9.9% fixed rate to 25.9%. I am still in a money bind from the job loss & absolutely can not make the minimum payments on this card with the APR being 25.9%. I am currently going on the 4th month of non-payment. I was wanting to know the best way to approach them to see if they will bring my APR back down. If they did that, I could probably manange to come up with the monthly payments. I would rather get my payments down & pay them, than have to quit paying them & try to settle later. Thanks in Advance!
