Hey, I just wanted to give you some advice ont his. It worked out GREAT for me! I was so stressed out a few years agon because I was on CheX Systems hit list and I could not get a bank account. I was crying all the time because I was having to pay to get my checks cashed etc...Anyways...I looked all over the web and found a lot information. To tell the truth, I was really afraid that nothing would work and I would have to wait five years to get an account again. It was crazy! ANyways...what I did was ordered a copy of the report. It takes about 5 days for it to get to you. My main thing was having to learn to have patience! This is not an overnight proccess. Once I recieved my report, I wrote back to them and disputed the major thing on their stopping me from getting a bank accoutn anywhere. What people don't tell you is that if you dispute it, and there is no reply within 30 days then you are scott free. Basically, you write to chex systems, and they have 30 days to send something to your bank. Your bank then has 30 days to send something back to them stating that your information is accurate. So, if you can wait a good two months, most likely you will get away with it. Usually, the banks don't have the manpower or the time to go through all of the letters in time and you might just be one of those lucky people who has their information cleared like I did. I was SO excited when teh letter came saying that the bank did not get back to Chex Systems in time and that my information was cleared! I went straight to the bank and opened an account without even havign to explain anything or feel the embarrasment of being denied something as Amaerican as a bank account! Trust me, I know this seems unreal...but what have you go tto lose. Just simply right a letter stating that you feel the information contqained in your report is innacurate and you would liek to see proof. If they can not show proof you would liek the information cleared from your record. Include your name, social, and any other pertiniant information. Trust me, it's worth a try. And it is better than paying ot off. Because if you pay it off yo still ahev a report up there saying that it is paid but it is there. This way, they delete it completly!
