Any transfer of the deed could be reversed by the court if a judgment is rendered. The same may be possible on a sale, but I'm not sure. Perhaps WhyChat knows better on that angle.

A lot depends on the equity you have in your home. What state are you in ? If your equity is below the allowed exemption, then your home is NOT in any danger.

Other question - how old is the debt you're being sued for ? When was it last paid ?
