Your account is in what's called an early age program.. the object is to roll back the delinqncy so the cap1 can reduce their roll over to collection agencies.. They try to get the "cream", and make last ditch effort for the right-to-cure process. Many times.. cap1 and providian will (if you call them directly) make "new terms" for example.. make current minimum payment plus a little extra to be applied to the delinqnt amnt. The current payment will prevent charge-off and the little extra will catch-up the past due.. I mention cap1 and providian because they "specialize" in high risk lending.. with the current economy and increasing past due accts.. creditors are doing what they can to prevent charge-off... You just need to speak with some one of authority..
