Last, week I recieved a letter in the mail from debt recoveries. Stating that I owe them over $200. I have had sprint service for years just cancelled it in August. So, I am about to call them and realize that the address is from over 9 years ago. I am going to write a letter of dispute and ask them to prove the claim. Can it go on my credit report and surely they wouldn't file a judgement for $282. Also, isn't it true that if I respond saying that I owe the debt then I am reopening and restarting the claim. Meaning another 7 year period can start. How should I handle this.
