Hey Mike, it's like this. As I recollect San Antonio is in Bexar County. Now where is Alvin located? The court action would have to take place in the county of your residence, NOT the county of their choosing. You can reach me at sd_golfer2000@yahoo.com. Make sure that they have actual statements of the account and NOT just a cardmember agreement. After the account has been charged off by the bank, you are only bound by the cardholder agreement that pertains to your account, NOT one marked over with correction fluid. However if you do not make any attempt to answer the summons, then they have the right to ask for summary judgment to be entered against you. Even though I am in California, you have different right in Texas including a homestead exemption against creditors.
