I have a disabled son who needs additional therapies. The purpose of trying to rework the MBNA account was to free up money to pay for the medical expenses. My other accounts are current and I can make the payments, but with MBNA raising the fees and interest, I thought I might be able to get a better "deal". It turns out that wasn't too smart. I want to make good on this but MBNA makes it very difficult. How will Wolpoff & Abramson affect my credit profile? If I reach an agreement with them, will it be posted on my credit that it went to collections? I find it hard to believe that I wouldn't at least receive a letter from MBNA that they were going to send the account to collections. They gave MyVesta a couple options to present me. When they did, I had a few questions and they sais to wait until "we" heard from them. I never did and now I receive the letter from W & A.
