The link you provided appears to be the Debt Validation Letter. Do I slightly reword it and send it to only the FTC and ATTy Gen?

I've looked at the recommended websites, but am at a complete loss as to how on earth I'm to find out the collection agency's name & address. Is this the Catch 22? You have to understand also that my husband is only ranting about NOT hiring a lawyer to handle this problem. He is neither understanding what I'm talking about nor cooperating with me. Yet is seems that it's up to me to solve the problem. (no he's not a compulsive gambler or secret spender - we are virtually debt free and this is such a paltry sum in dispute it's ridiculous). He's just difficult.
I don't particularly want to call the 800 numbers myself to ask the c.agency for their name and address - I don't want to endure their nastiness and I doubt they will give it to me. Do they give out that info willingly?

Because there are 2 different calls and 2 different, Does that mean there are 2 different collection agencies? When my husband called, he said it sounded like the same people.

I don't think I will have a problem finding addresses for the FTC and the Attorney General's Office. How about sending a letter to the CEO of Charter One Bank too?

I would love to pay someone else to handle this problem.
