About a year ago I purchased a Hooked on Phonics product. I don't remember the exact cost of the product, however I do remember that I paid whatever cost was due before the product was shipped to me. I thought I had paid all that was necessary. Last week I received a letter in the mail that stated that the particular company audited their clients books and found that I had a past due balance of almost $400. My first thought was that I didn't owe them anything and if I did, it certainly would not amount to almost$400. Is a company allowed to come at you for payment after a year has passed. Is there some sort of statute of limitations for this. Please keep in mind that I have been at the same address and never got any bills from this company until now.
