If someone came into your wife's place of employment and demanded she hand over $$$, you would call the police, wouldn't you?

This is the same thing. These criminal collection agencies obtain old records, well past any time for legal collection, and without ANY valid caim intimidate pople into paying $$ to them.

The next time they call, get their name and address, ask them to send you a written request. If they persist in their extortion demands and threats over the phone, advise them that you are turning on your tape recorder and will turn the information over to the authorities.

IF they actually send you a collection letter, (which I doubt), then you can end them the SOL letter.

To find when your SOL started in Pa., either look at your credit reports (Experian shows the date of removal -7 years from 1st "late" date) or check your old records for the last time a payment was made to Wells Fargo.

Was this on a revolving charge account?

DO NOT pay them a dime, or try to "settle" with them- they are worse than street gang muggers, because once you show you can be victimized by one of them, all the other low life scum will start in with you.
