I received a phone call and now a letter from a collection agency referencing a credit card debt which, if it's even valid, is over 20 years old. They are demanding payment. First off, I have no idea if the debt's valid, and they've provided no proof. That was a long time ago, and I just don't remember nor do I keep records for so long. Question: Whether it's valid or not, why are they attempting to collect money after 22 years, and what should I do about it?
