Yes it's NCO, not NFO, sorry.

This is what the letter from MBNA stated:

To help you in this time of financial difficulty, we would like to offer you an opportunity to settle your account.

Among the programs available to assist you is a reduced payment plan. If you pay $1505, which is approximately 40% of your balance by Feb 28, 2003, we will consider your debt paid and this account settled provided no additional charges appear on this account after the date of this letter. If it will make the process more manageable, you can pay the amount over a specified period.

If you accept this settlement offer, your account will be reported to the national consumer reporting agencies as settled. If you fail to pay as agreed, we will require the balance of $3688 to be paid in full immediately, including any finance charges incurred from the date of this letter (Nov.12).

Please call immediately to discuss these payment options. If you do not call within 10 days of this letter, we will assum that you do not wish to work with us and this offer will be revoked.

I called and talked to Stacey (writer of the letter) and agreed to pay it off by Feb. 28. I then started getting calls from a witch named Patty threatening it was her account and she could charge it off whenever she felt.

I just want to know what's going to happen now. Will I go to court and get sued? Have a lien on my house??? I'm really scared now.

I saw on Bud Hibbs board this is one of the worst collection agencies. What does he mean by this??

Sorry for this being so long, but I am really nervous now. Is there an amount that they start suing you over?? Thanks a bunch for any information.
