Hello All,

In the past week I have had 3 contacts with CAMCO. My only saving grace from the tactics used by CAMCO is that I was a receivable manager for over 10 years for Fortune companies. I knew what what was legal and I knew my consumer rights. I left corporate america when in fact its direction turned away from the consumer and was only interested in profit for the board members. I left management because their tactics were not necessarily ethical or moral.

I will add that forgiveness counts in both personal and business affairs. The woman who asks for forgiveness receives it from me. The bad debt that dates back 10-20 years is also forgiven. A company like CAMCO asks for no forgiveness and can receive none through dishonesty.

I advise that everyone take the time to learn their consumer rights. I advise that everyone know how to be responsible for their credit rating. Now that corporate america can no longer increase revenue and ignore the accounting principles concerning its receivables, consumers will be targeted harder and harder to make up for their corruption and bad business practices. Do not expect ANY business to think in your best interest or to protect your rights.

As a manager of collections for at least a decade, I incorporated consumer rights and GAAP, generally accepted accounting principles, with collection practices that communicated fairly and with respect to the consumer. I mention this because the system works when in fact rights and principles are applied. Know your consumer rights and take responsibility for your credit. It is your right to dispute a debt; it you owe a debt be honest.

We are in a national financial crisis. The states are in dire straits. The only place for them to turn to make good their failures is the consumer and taxpayer. The strength of both government and business is no longer in your political vote but in the dollar you earn and where you spend it. Bad debt is the one thing that can bring down an organization. Don't pay a dime toward a debt that is not valid, justified and legal and help separate the good from the bad companies.
