your comment-"SO-- if you have notified them with the SOL letter that they cannot legally collect -- and you dispute to the CRA, they are legally prohibited from verifying the debt to the CRA as that is considered a collection activity." WHy chat Ive gone through the dispute process with the 3 bureaus for the last 2 months. Some items have been deleted. Ive tried everything from dates, balances, etc.. I understand that if I send the Sol. letter to the collector that's showing a balance on my report that they have to discontinue collecting procedures. Ive repeatedly gone through the cras to investigate but said items come back verified. If I know Im past the Sol. how can I legally get said items removed if there barred from collecting. I dont think the cra's will allow me to investigate further. What advice can you offer? Do I send the Sol letter to the credit bureaus also? Are they in violation for responding to the bureaus in the last 2 months regarding validating balances since Im outside the sl. The cr agency told me that collectors could have a balance.
