First of all, damages in FDCPA cases range from $100 to $1000 and the amount is decided by a judge. If the judge decises this is your debt, you'll likely get nothing.
If you're going to use the FDCPA as a defense you'd better read the act in its entirety.
Why Chat is correct. Many small claims court judges zero in on mimimum evidentary standards and ignore FDCPA violations. In other words, is this debt yours is the big question.
