If the OC is reporting 0 balance on a transferred account there is nothing I know of in any law that could "force" them to stop reporting.

I do not claim ANYTHING will "work", all I am saying is-- this technique takes advantage of existing case law in Ca and other States that have found against CAs who try to collect on time-barred accounts.

Nothing will work unless it is tried, I personally do not believe in filing lawsuits to "punish" offending CRAs or get $$ in a shakedown of CRAs or even CAs, however I DO believe in using the laws to obtain your legal rights.So, to answer your question, what if the CRA does not remove the account? If they have claimed the CA verified, you file suit against the CA, if not -you file suit against the CRA.
