Ask your lawyer how fast it can be done. Explain the urgency about not wishing to deal with getting a judgment vacated later. Once you file, you'll receive a case number. Just present that to the court clerk and request a continuance until the bk is discharged and then take the discharge letter to the court and petition to have the suit dismissed.
The stay kicks in immediately but from a practical matter, the trustee will notify your creditors so expect some calls for awhile. Just tell them you filed and ask if they'd like the file #?
