I have a secured card and pay the entire amount every month. I make several payments if I spend more every month and I have a good standing with that card. I think if you pay it off every month in full it will be best because you won't have to pay interest. And the higher your limit the better. Just make sure you don't spend it all because that will reflect on your credit too as living beyond your means. I have been making the mistake of not having a high enough credit limit of only $400 and that reflects negatively as well. The creditors want to see a larger balance in good standing. Don't max it out is what I am saying.

Good luck.
