An authorized user question

My father has been kind enough to have me as an authorized user on his American Express account. We've been paying the balance in full every month. He's gotten an offer from Amex to transfer any open balances at 2.9% fixed. He's going for it and will max out the balance of this card. (19k) He's also sick. He has parkinson's and it's not getting any better. If something happens to him and he's unable to pay as he always does, what's my liability here? Especially if he incurred the debt, not me.
