Ok, first thing - ALL of these old debts, if charged off in 97-98 are beyond the statute of limitations (SOL) for being sued to collect. If you haven't made ANY payments on any of the original accounts in 5-6 years, they are most definitely charged-off and in collections.

If they're charged-off, the balance due should be ZERO and there should be no lates showing. They should all, basically, now be in the collections section of your CR.

1 - If they have been charged-off, you never paid, then the accounts are definitely closed.
What you're looking at that says UNPAID is probably the COLLECTION and not the OC.

2- This is probably the date the collection agency last reported to the CRA's.

3 - No. If this is a charged-off account, it will be 7 years from the FIRST delinquency. A CA cannot (legally) re-age the account to keep it on your report for another 7 years.

4 - No - see answer to #3.

5 - "Factoring" is when an outside company handles the invoicing and other accounting processes for that company. What I *think* this means is that someone's using data on the account that they bought. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please)

6 - These are collection accounts, same as above. The CA's are reporting to the bureaus and they're unpaid.

7 - IF the delinquency date on these accounts was 1997, then most of them should fall off naturally next year at the 7 year mark.

Are you getting collection letters ?

Are you using all THREE credit reports, a tri-merge or just one bureau report ? You need to use all 3 - not a trimerge, the info on those is not detailed enough.

Have you looked at WhyChat's CRA dispute letter for SOL debts ??? It may work for you to get these off as they're all beyond the FL SOL.
