A 'private detective' - oh boy.. it amazes me the tactics they'll use..LOL!!! I'd bet this guy has never come within spitting distance of a PI license !! A debt 're-opened' ?? Never heard of such a thing. Did this "PI" serve you papers or just offer a settlement ?? When the boat was repo'd, did you ever get notice of the sale ? Did you ever get anything on what the boat sold for ??? If the repo was not done legally, adhereing to specific legalities, then you have a way to fight this.
