Are these accounts listed as R1 ? If they are, then they are positive tradelines. The problem with closing an account with a good 'history' is that it may drop your scores as your available credit vs. credit being used percentage will drop. However, 'closed by consumer' is far better than 'closed by credit grantor'. So, if you've got other good entries and decent history, go ahead and close the accounts, just make sure you do so in writing so you have backup. Also make sure that there are no automatic charges being made with those accounts, otherwise, even if you ask to close them, they will end up as open again with balances !!
