I live in Ohio. I charged up my Citibank MC to $5000 and my financial situation changed and am unable to pay according to their terms but can pay on installments. I was referred to a collection agency, however, they were crooks so I stopped dealing with them. I've spoken with an attorney representing Citibank who said Citibank will settle on payments but because I make good money, Citibank can take approx. $300 per check which is entirely too much. What recourse do I have?
