My Citibank MC is now up to $5000 and due to a change in my situation I was unable to make monthly payments. I was referred to a collection agency but they were crooks so I stopped dealing w/them. Citibank is in the process of suing me w/their attorney and according to their attorney, Citibank will settle on payments but they are extremely high; approx. $300 a check which I definitely cannot afford. How do I get Citibank to lower their request? Should I not agree on the $600 a month figure and let a judge decide?
