They CAN'T charge you with fraud, no. What I meant was that its typical for these collection agencies to THREATEN you with fraud for stopping the withdrawl or by getting it yanked back from them by the bank. They like to intimidate and since most people don't have a clue as to their own check fraud laws, this threat of theirs scares many people into paying up anyway.

I just wanted you to be prepared if the tried to use that BOGUS threat :) Forwarned is forarmed !
