Recently I was sued again by a man who appealed the earlier decision. I am in the state of TX and own my home. I also own a car, have a joint checking with my spouse, and a savings account. I am afraid I will lose this time. The trial was a bench trial. He had a lawyer and I did not. The judge said he would send his decion by mail to my home. If he gets all he is asking, I will owe roughly $4,500. My question is.....If I don't pay, what are the possible repercussions. Also, How long could it stay on my credit, Could they take my home, etc. We are single income, so could they garnish my husbands wages? Any help please!
