I have an eleven years old student loan. The lawyers are telling me there is no way to discharge student loan. they told me i could have filed for bankruptcy before 1997. What can I do? is there any Statue of limitation? i am trying so hard to get my life together and every dollar I make somebody wants a piece of it. What is going on? Where is this country going? if they say we are getting stupider, why the government don't make an effort to make the school and books cheaper or even free, so we could continue our education in peace and not worry. I don’t know? The government makes the rules and protects its own ass and no one else. You cannot file bankruptcy on gov. loans because the gov. makes the rules? What the heck is that mean? I think the students have to have a club or organization to fight the congress or whoever make these decisions for them. If there was a loan taken long ago under specific condition, why is it fair to change the law for that loan which was taken under that condition. I only understand one thing and that is at the end of all these exceptions, there is money and nothing else. The motive is money and nothing else. Not you, not me……
peace…..
