Besides, this 'sheriff' calling you is probably a LONG way from being a true officer - and if its a CA impersonating an officer of the law he's in deep doo-doo - its not only agains the laws of the states, its a violation of the FDCPA - a FEDERAL law. They can't sue you (not legally) and they CANNOT 'take everything you own' !!
